Dr. Elena Bodnar won the 2009 Ig Nobel Public Health Prize for the Emergency Bra, an invention that doubles as a stylish bra and face mask. In the event of a disaster, simply unsnap the bra, separate the cups, slip one over your head, and slip one on to your partner.

The bra, which is now available for purchase online, came as a result of Bodnar studying the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. Bodnar found that “if people had had cheap, readily available gas masks in the first hours after the disaster… they may have avoided breathing in Iodine-131, which causes radiation,” reported Fox News.

“You have to be prepared all the time, at any place, at any moment, and practically every woman wears a bra,” she said.

Despite all the seriousness, Bodnar remained light-hearted in the video below of her Ig Nobel prize acceptance speech by removing her bra and demonstrating how the device works on fellow Nobel laureates:

This is not the first time the 51-year-old plastic surgery addict has given her young daughter an inappropriate gift. Last year, Poppy received a voucher for breast augmentation from her mother, redeemable at age 18 if she chooses.

“I put the voucher in her stocking – there’s nothing wrong with that,” Burge said.

“She asks for surgery all the time. She wants to look good and lipo is one of those procedures that will always come in handy. I see these vouchers as investing in her future – like saving money for her education.”

Burge gets angry when strangers say she’s a bad mother, since she believes there is no harm in giving her these types of gifts.

“Poppy is a normal kid who is good at sports and loves playing outside. Girls don’t want Snow White and Cinderella any more,” she’s said.

“They want to be WAGs and famous like Cheryl Cole and Lady Gaga. I’m just supporting her and making her dreams come true. Looks are a big part of how our futures pan out – there shouldn’t be a stigma around wanting to look good.”

I agree that there should not be a stigma around wanting to look good, but discussing plastic surgery at age 7 crosses a bit of a line. What happened to just wanting a pony for Christmas?

On Friday, December 2 he was finally sentenced. He made a plea deal to avoid serving 55 years for practicing medicine without a license and sexual battery. Under his plea agreement, the 81 year old man was sentenced to a year in jail.

Wonderbra has developed a new bra, the Ultimate Plunge, which the company says gives women “the confidence to embrace the plunging neckline trend.” To introduce the product, Wonderbra set up a grand stunt at the Battersea Power Station in London by putting up a giant billboard of Wonderbra model Adriana Cernanova wearing an Ultimate Plunge and having three random women bungee jump into her plunging cleavage. The women won an online competition to be the first to jump from the top of a crane into the billboard-cleavage, which is plastered on the same building featured on the cover of Pink Floyd’s 1977 album Animals. The month-long PR campaign for the new bra invites women ages 18-25 to ‘take the Ultimate Plunge Style Challenge’ on Facebook, with the chance to win various prizes, including a VIP night out in London.

Sheyla Hershey feels her 38KKK breasts are small

Model Sheyla Hershey held the record for the world’s largest implants has had them boosted once more after losing her 38MMM breasts to a life-threatening infection.

Despite saying her new implants make her feel ‘almost whole again’, the 31-year-old mother is still not satisfied, insisting her massively inflated breasts are ‘small’.

Sheyla Hershey, from Houston, Texas, underwent the extreme breast augmentation operation in an attempt to regain the staggering 38MMM cup size she had before the removal of her implants in June 2010. After an operation to enlarge them she developed an infection and they were removed to save her life.

The wife and mother was left with sagging skin without her huge implants. She did not tell her husband of her plan to restore her breasts to their previous size and instead led him to believe she was having reconstructive surgery. She plans to top off her 38KKK breasts with another 1200 cc of saline to bring her total to 5500 ccs. When her husband threatened her with divorce she told him to get one.

Although his most famous patient to date may be “The Real Housewives of Orange County” cast member Alexis Bellino, he’ll be on with another patient next week: his daughter Brittani. He performed a rhinoplasty on her at age 20 but his appearance on the show, which is about teens having cosmetic surgery, will be because he also performed implant surgery on her at age 19.

I’m no doctor, but I’m pretty sure Fix-A-Flat was never intended as a way to inflate your glutes or your boobs! It’s intended use of course is for the emergency repair of flat tires.

But don’t tell that to Oneal Ron Morris, the transgender woman that is facing charges of practicing cosmetic surgery without a license, after police say she injected the Fix-A-Flat tire mender into the buttocks of her “patient.”

The injection took place in a residential setting, where Morris shot a mix of cement, glue, mineral oil and tire sealant into the woman’s buttocks, ABC reported.

WTF!?!?!??!?!?

Ladies, please. There’s a better way.
