The New Jersey Legislature has voted to repeal a 6% tax on cosmetic procedures conducted in the state, citing the cost and burden of collecting and administering the tax. The tax will be gradually phased out and should be completely rescinded by July 2013.

    I could have sworn I read a while back that there was going to be a nationwide tax on cosmetic surgery (in the U.S.) as if it were a luxury tax or something along that line. Maybe my head is making stuff up, who knows?

    I saw stuff on the nationwide tax too Suzie, but I think it was for the UK? Maybe I’m making stuff up to lol

    I think that both of your heads are probably just fine (at least this time;)
    There was a bill or something a few years ago to tax cosmetic surgery but it didnt go through. Instead they added a tax to tanning which is why the prices went up on that :(
