Today we witnessed the 600th woman reach her goal of funding larger breasts. A big thank you to everyone involved in our great community.

As we put this milestone in the books, we move closer towards another ( a new website design) That said, it is with great pleasure that I introduce to the entire MFI community our brand new logo!

MyFreeImplants.com Logo

I think you’ll all agree that it’s a much more modern logo, with a more professional feel to it, yet still a bit of subtle sexiness to it! All of which goes hand-in-hand with the direction we’re trying to take MFI.

It will be a little while before everyone gets to see it in it’s new home atop the newly designed website, but I just wanted to give everyone a sneak peek at the progress that’s happening behind the scenes as we continue to make great strides in giving our beloved MFI a makeover of her own. We hope to release more pieces of the puzzle as they become available! ;)

It is indeed more professional than the old logo but the sexiness isn’t all that subtle. Unless that is a sideways number 3…

Nice logo but reads as myfreeimplwnts.com, should make it more obviously an A, that is my immediate impression.

    I like it!

I like the relationships. I mean, each character has his own story. The puppy is a bit too much, but you have to over look things like that in this kind of art. The way he’s holding her… it’s almost… filthy. I mean, he’s about to kiss her and she’s pulling away. The way the leg’s sort of smashed up against her… Phew… Look how he’s painted the blouse sort of translucent. You can just make out her breasts underneath and it’s sort of touching him about here. It’s really… pretty torrid, don’t you think? Then of course you have the onlookers peeking at them from behind the doorway like they’re all so shocked. Yeah, they wish..

Well will the mfi shirts be available with the new logo? And the banners as well so that we can make our own things with the new mfi logo? It does look more professional indeed, but is a bit understated. And now what about the ladies that got the mfi bombshell redhead tattoos??? Hmmm..maybe Mrs. redhead can hide out somewhere on the news page or at the bottom of the screen?

LOL @ Big Daddy. I do think maybe you need help hun :o P. I would get the shirt as well, but not sure if they have chunky chicks with a tummy types of shirts. Last I checked they don’t. Need to get on that one though with the new logo shirts so we can advertise.

Um…yeah. Sorry, but I don’t like it. It looks kinda…boring. Not so much professional as it is just plain, I guess. And I agree that boobs were not the first thing on my mind when I saw it. A giant W. Or a butt. Or a mustache. But not boobs.
Also, did anyone notice it’s the same color as the domestic violence ribbon? Don’t get me wrong, I like the purple, but this…well it sort of looks like it was done in a hurry.
Personally, I think MFI should host a contest and let the members submit their own logos. That would be fun. I’ve met tons of talented people here who could put out some really creative stuff.

Zeta Says: May 19, 2010 at 8:34 am

I think it is very boring and plain. I agree that it should have been some sort of site involved competition. Just my opinion … but I don’t think it represents the site well at all. I don’t think it will draw anyones attention, if I am being honest…Isn’t that what a logo does when put on shirts or banners?

    J Coverman Says: May 19, 2010 at 10:33 am

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say, I didn’t see a tipped-over 3, nor a mustache, nor a ‘w’… I saw boobs. I suppose it’s not news to say I’m not as mature as the average member…

Also, I like it, but feel like the colors could be a bit more fun (a pink on purple palette?, perhaps, pretty please, peeps) and I think the typography would be made much less ‘clinical’ (and more curvy) by making the ‘My’ canted counter-clockwise in a brush script or something no less bold, but handwritten and feminine. Also, this would reduce the risk of a casual glance seeing a meaningless ‘myfree’.

The ‘.com’ could even be more exclamation point-like — fitting since we’re all pretty enthusiastic about MFI.

It is more professional than the current one, but also it loses some of the fun of the old design. I don’t dislike it, but think it could use a little more pizazz..

I agree with Terri, how about Hooterville shirts for members of HoF?? That’d be great!

Keep in mind that this new logo has to appeal to general audiences. Meaning, it’s designed to work for the girls, the guys, the medical community, the media and possibly the girl’s parents who walk by while she’s chatting on some site with a bubbly pink and purple boob logo and a picture of a bikini girl . Therefore, it is without a doubt, an upgrade that all the populations who are involved with the site in some way, can live with. :)

No offense guys, but I luv this site and would luv to see a better logo that everyone LOVES instead of settling for one that everyone just seems to “like”

Is there still room for someone to come up w/a new one that you guys might consider? My fiancee is a graphic designer and he’d love to take a shot at designing one for you!

i still think its quite lovely, but then again, im a fan of purple

its definatly better than that girl with the big hair!!!!!

Big Daddy Says: May 19, 2010 at 4:37 pm

Hey be nice to the girl with the big hair. We used to date back in the 80s! I think she adds that lil oomph that bit of playfulness much better than a handbar mustache shaped SUPER A. I agree it’s better for a general audience but let’s not pretend this is a typical site and should go with a generic looking logo to present itself. This site encompasses so many different things that a plain ole logo like this completely overlooks. Maybe because it appears so 2 dimensional as opposed to the current one which has a little life of it’s own.

I see boobs and I see “MyFreeImplants” but if I stare at it to hard then the it doesnt look right.

    my 2 cents..

    p.s I VOTE a yes on HOF tee’s

Jason: MyFreeImplants Says: May 19, 2010 at 7:10 pm

That’s the basic logo. Colors and shading are certainly flexible. The one above is just the design in it’s most simplistic black & white form. Er, rather purple and white.

I think when you see the new website design, you’ll understand why the current logo just won’t cut it anymore. It would just look so very out of place! Trust me. ;)

As Annika mentioned, we need a logo that is more professional so that when you ladies walk into a doctors office with a pamphlet, they don’t scoff at MFI because of the logo. We’re trying to make all of our lives a bit easier when bringing up MFI with conservative surgeons, while still being a bit playful and fun. It’s a careful balancing act.

I like J’s input about the brush script for the My. We may look into that option, so thanks for the feedback.

And yes, we do have plans for HOF tee’s! Stay tuned…

    g Says: May 20, 2010 at 10:31 am

Well, this comment may be moot, since Jason said “that’s the basic logo”. But my reaction:

I would start a logo redesign with the principle that there will be NO attempt to represent boobs by shapes, lines, whatever. I’m all for the logo being professional, and I think this principle would be a place to start. Plus …

Think of what the logo is for. I’d say it is to be memorable and represent MFI in the best possible light.

The best logos (and brands) out there don’t have images of their product. When you establish a good logo/brand, you don’t need to. Apple, Coca-Cola, World Wildlife Fund, Mickey Mouse, Nike.

And when a woman goes to a consultation, I doubt that the doctor, office manager, or anyone else associated with the practice requires a boob-suggesting logo on the MFI pamphlet to help understand MFI. “Oh, implants? I thought you were here to buy a new cooktop” (inside joke).

And everything else that Annika said.

    Jay @MFI Says: May 20, 2010 at 11:31 am

I’m glad to hear most like the direction we’re headed in. Annika really hit the nail on the head. We have 4 major stakeholders that this design must cater to: Ladies, donors, surgeons, and media. I think it does a pretty good balancing act and as Jason said, this isn’t necessarily the finished product you’ll see on the website.

Becky, we only received a couple of submissions on the video. And unfortunately, those videos for the 500th girl didn’t yield a product that met the requirements. So instead we took that prize money and produced a professional MFI commercial to be run on Google TV. The 500th girl and her donor did opt for $500 Amazon gift certificates and received them in November.

I’m really sorry guys, but i just think its bland as a logo.
Ok, the swept A suggests boobs (ish – can’t get Yosemite Sam out of my head!!), but the typeface is just dull … it doesn’t say “fun”. I’d be looking for something that says, “*wink*”. Something that does playful, but only if you get the meaning.
Its an icon, but something that does the same as the playboy bunny … but with boobs? In the same way that hooters use the owl … lets think outside the box guys!!

Note to self … get a life!!

I have this sudden urge to eat Pringles, while listening to a barbershop quartet, waiting for Snidely Whiplash to tie Nell to the tracks.

Some of the most iconic branding has no mention or subtlety to the product they sell. Nothing about the current logo screams BOOBS, and for the sophomore effort, there is an outline of a botched, uni-boob, operation (which I guess is better than a refund gap on them +2′s).

How is it a huge ad agency can get some preschoolers to knock out simplicity for Lucent, but someone trying to prove their worth over-thinks something that should just be simple and satisfying. The “New Coke” logo of MFI.

I actually quite like it. But have to say I miss the redhead.

After all this site is about beautiful women and pin up epitomises that but then I’m biased :)

Hey maybe you should let me redesign the redhead. Modernise her a bit and have her as a secondary image/logo. Might be a good compromise
