After breast augmentation, a woman’s shape changes as well as her breast size, which can be difficult when it comes to buying new bras.

Traditional bras are designed with oval-shape under wires that do not always conform to the shape of implants, which tend to be rounder and wider than natural breasts. Many retail lingerie stores can measure your bra size, but the right type of bra for your shape may not always be available.

I recently came across a website that some of you may find helpful:

www.brasforimplants.com

This website reviews a selection of bras for implants ranked by criteria, as well as directions on where to buy them. The reviews do not include all bras available on the market, but they may provide a good resource for someone who has been measured for bra size and is researching their options.

If you know of any other websites that may be helpful for bra shopping or bra fitting with implants, please share your suggestions below. Thanks! :)

I did a quick search on specialty bras and to my delight there is a brand that is available on Amazon. (Wishlist friendly, anyone???)… It is specially designed for breast augmentations. It is Le Mystere No 9,and was actually designed by a plastic surgeon. If you aren’t into wishlists or don’t want to wait you can also find it on NeimanMarcus.com and HerRoom.com as well. From what I have seen they are a little pricey, but well worth it to protect and fit the new girls right. Hope this helps someone!

Oh.. This is so exciting!!! I have tried on a million bras and hated the feel of all of them… not to mention the wire.. why do I need a wire now???

downside.. only for the lucky US girls… again!!
I think there should be a whole line of tops and blouses for implant girls. I now take a large shirt.. to get around the girls.. and the rest of me is a small.. so needless to say.. shopping is… tough…

A good idea for the fitting the new girls while the boobs stick out way farther than the tummy is a smocked maxi dress. Get one with the elastic top that is somewhat form fitting, then you don’t have all that extra material hanging there in front of your tummy. (E-bay has a huge selection and some of them are $20 and cheaper)..and they are so in style right now too!!! You could even have some of them altered to be a cute top. I have seen sizes on there from extra small to 5X and every style and color you can imagine. (Yes, I am on the computer waaay too much lol). Hope this helps those of you finding trouble getting the right fit for the new breasticles :D .

Ok. last post on this topic lol…but I found another site that is dedicated to the “after implants body”. It’s not just bras, but all sorts of helpful things that you might need or want and even has a discussion forum so that you can get ideas from other ladies that have been there done that as far as what to do or not do afterwards. It is makemeheal.com. There are over 1500 bra styles, breast shaped hot and cold compresses, wedge pillows, Arnica tablets, and scar creams and gels..tons of good products aimed at the cosmetically enhanced lady (or man).
