About a month ago we posted an advanced notification of a policy change that has since been implemented regarding activity requirements of Hall of Fame (a.k.a. HOF) members. This post is a follow-up reminding the community that we are now enforcing the same 30-day activity requirements for both HOF and non-HOF members up until the point that model agreement documents are received by MFI.
A short recap of the policy: If a member in HOF fails to uphold an active role on the site before her paperwork is received by MFI, her account will enter a suspended state, at which point she will come out of HOF and her donations will become available for transfer.
If there are any questions or concerns regarding this policy change, please feel free to contact us at support@myfreeimplants.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Leave A CommentI think this is a great change for the site and a horrible one for some of my friends.
Despite that, I’m all for it. Members who dislike it can choose not to transfer those funds… Realize though that these women received an email more than 30 days ago telling them this was coming. I guess if they couldn’t find time to get active in those 30 days, there may not be much chance that they are coming back.
Like Drone, I think this change will benefit the site, but could cause problems for one or two friends.
There have been a couple of women that I donated to 18 months ago/2 years ago who made HoF then disappeared. I regret donating to them, but under these new rules, its only a matter of time before I get the donations returned so they can be sent to more deserving women.
Eleven HOF girls gone!! HOLY MOLY!!
Of course, thinking logically (where is Jim these days?) all these women got just over 30 days notice that they either needed to complete their model agreements or be active at least once every 30 days.
Whatever their reason, one assumes they chose not to visit MFI even once in those 30 days knowing full well it could mean the loss of the funds for their surgery. I would guess, based on past experiences, that at least some of them received additional messages and warnings from their friends.
I’m not going to make an excuse for failing to log on and send even 1 message for 30+ days, but it is possible that some people affected were not aware that this was going to happen. If someone had an email account set up exclusively for getting notifications of messages from MFI (this is what I have) and never checked it after, say, March 1 2010, she would not be aware of the policy change (advance notice March 4) that went into effect on April 2, no matter how many warnings she had from friends. In that case, she would not know, until she logs back in and finds herself out of HoF, the consequences of her absence from MFI.
The rules are laid out in the terms of service:
“MFI reserves the right to change any of the provisions posted herein and you agree to review these Terms and Conditions each time you visit MFI. Your continued use of MFI following MFI’s posting of any changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes your acceptance of such changes. MFI does not and will not assume any obligation to provide you with notice of any change to these Terms and Conditions. Unless accepted by MFI in writing, these Terms and Conditions may not be amended by you.”
So basically, these women will, when they return to the site and sign in accept these changes. Further, MFI doesn’t HAVE to tell you there’s been a change.
Second MFI did send an email. Under Notice it says:
“Any notice required to be given under this Agreement may be provided by e-mail to a functioning e-mail address of the party to be noticed by a general posting on MFI, or personal delivery by commercial carrier such as FedEx or Airborne”
and then later it says:
“Any correctly addressed notice that is refused, unclaimed, or undeliverable, because of an act or omission of the Party to be notified shall be deemed effective as of the first date that said notice was refused or deemed undeliverable by the postal authorities, messenger, facsimile machine, e-mail server, or overnight delivery service.”
So basically, you’re responsible to provide a good email address. If MFI sends you an email and you don’t read it (it goes “unclaimed”) then it’s still binding on you.
the bottom line I guess is that if you have an email set up strictly for MFI and don’t check it or the site for 30 days then you are inactive. In truth, I don’t think it’s much to ask that someone be active (which is a very loose set of conditions) on a monthly basis. Active could mean sending one message or uploading one picture. It doesn’t take much to be active.
What exactly is “being active”? Is logging on and emailing some friends enough? I’ve been slacking..
Hope everyone is well!
Drone, I am still here. Just laying low.
You know I’ve been a major opponent about what constitutes activity, and how I feel hiding it behind stealth is a detriment to the over-all health of the site. I think this is one major step, as was the 15-month post-HOF limit change. It is tough for any benefactor, especially those who ask lots of questions before donating, to see too many models flaunt the activity parameters, more so while hiding behind stealth. There is one on my list who comes back every 28 days, thumbs her nose at the site posting a blog saying “I am back!”, and disappears. Another who logs in once a week, changes name to “Chat” or “here” (alternates) yet is never online once she changes her name.
One would think more success stories are what drive this site, but the lax activity guidelines say otherwise.
But, I’ve learned to live with the rules, like them or not. And this one tilts the scale more toward parity between models who take the site seriously, and benefactors.
@Terri – 12 women by my count. I was #579 on April 1st. That made Sara #578 on March 28th. Sara is #566 now. So that makes 12 women who are no longer in the HoF.
being active is merely logging in once every 30 days, isnt it?
I agree that it is a sad situation. But there has to be a rule to protect those who donated.
I too had some returned donations, which makes me disappointed that i tried to help some girls who then turned their back on that help.
Now i can redistribute to some who i’m more certain will use it. But i hate to admit that it has made me more wary of who i donate to.
I’ve just gotten donations back from two ladies that made the HoF quite some time ago… is this related in anyway to the change in policy?
One I only knew slightly and I had no contact with… but I’d occasionally exchange messages with the other — and she’s already had her surgery!
*confused*
I think at least one of the ones that went out was a return customer, so that might explain it.
There was a list a while back about what was activity. It took a while to find it. Here’s the link:
http://myfreeimplants.com/free-breast-implants/index.php/2009/08/03/minor-bug-fixed-in-reported-last-activity/#comments
And here’s the list:
Wrote a blog entry – probably applies to both.
Edited a blog entry – only models can edit
Created new account
Updated profile – both
Sent a message – both
Uploaded a photo – both
Placed an order – I think only benefactors place orders
Left some feedback – both
Created a contest – both
Entered a contest – both
Voted for a blog – both
Sent a photo/video – both
Surgery goal update – models only
So just logging in and out won’t cut it, but there are plenty of things that count as activity.
I should point out, in case it’s not obvious, that the comments after each item are mine.
my bad — two women with the same name — I got ‘em mixed up…
easily done JC, i get em’ mixed up even if they have different names
–I know!
I always confuse ‘ADD=pix’ with ‘pix4add’, even though they look nothing alike! The weird thing is, neither of them have attention deficit disorder…
do they both say that thing like ” SHOOT ME TO MY MINI GOAL, WHOEVER GETS ME THERE RECEIVES 3 PIX”?
I think this is great! i don’t think it’s fair for the benefactors to give their money to girls that want breast implants, and when they reach their goal, to ignore them!
xxx
that is bad! and they don’t deserve to be in HOF.
I didn’t have many time to come online because of the move, but i’m still here!
tomorrow ill be free all the morning, so i will make a vlog
