This update addresses the #1 Top Requested item from the Feedback Forum: “Allow benefactors to split boob bank donations into small amounts.” And, it not only handles splitting large donations, but it also handles joining smaller donation into larger ones, as some people had asked for in the comments. And, it manages to do all of that while still simplifying the entire process!
The changes can be best described in 3 parts:
Part 1 – New Deposits
We’ve completely eliminated the whole notion of pre-purchasing multiple donations in set amounts. Now, instead you just enter the entire amount you want to spend in one text field, and you can purchase that exact amount of pre-paid donations. You don’t have to divide it up into chunks anymore. Just ONE single account balance. This part works just like before in that after entering the amount, you go to step two and enter the payment details to complete the purchase. After the purchase is complete your boob bank is updated to reflect your new balance.
Part 2 – Account Transfers
If a lady leaves the website before using the donations you had sent her, you get those donations back, just as you always have. Those abandoned donations will show up on your Boob Bank page so that you have a record of who it was you donated to, how much it was for, and her account status (suspended, deleted, inactive). Now there is a new link in that table for each donation that will let you transfer that abandoned donation into your boob bank balance. Clicking the link will remove that record from that table, and increase your boob bank balance by that same amount.
Also worth pointing out: when a lady rejects a donation, it will go directly into your boob bank balance — bypassing the transfer table.
Part 3 – Transferring Donations
In keeping with the theme of simplifying the boob bank, transfer are now a lot more simple too! Just go to a girls profile page, click the “Donate” link under her name and from her donation page you can just type in whatever amount you want to transfer (up to the amount available in your boob bank balance). Click the Donate button and viola, that amount comes out of your Boob Bank, and into hers. No need to scroll through a list of numerous donation denominations. Just type in the amount and click Donate. Easy!
In summary, you now only have one single boob bank balance to keep track of. No more loose pocket change donations to worry about!
And of course the end result is you have a LOT more flexibility in terms of donation transfers. Big. Small. Medium. Whatever you want; it’s all possible now! We have set a $1 minimum transfer however to try and be fair to the ladies. And for those of you that want to be able to send $1.00 along with any free message you send, you now have that option too via this much more flexible transfer mechanism.
In the interest of full disclosure, there is one minor caveat: Because of the requirements in order to make this system work as easily as possible, it requires that all donations that get transferred from this point forward have the same fee rate (19%) applied. There are still some legacy transactions in the system that have the old rate of 15% but it’s very few at this point as most have been redeemed for surgery payments. The same goes for those micro-donations of less than $5.00 that had a 50% rate.

I have some questions about the “Account Transfers” section. What happens when a model who has donations returned (perhaps because of exceeding the 30 day inactivity limit) returns to MFI? Do the donations not transferred to the general boob bank automatically revert back to her like it does now? Or will we now have to move them back ourselves?
If they automatically revert back to the woman when she returns AND she has older donations (at the 15% level), do those get transferred back at 15% or 19%?
Good question Walter. It works just like it had previously in that if you don’t “cash in” the donation and turn it into boob bucks, then when an inactive lady reactivates her profile, it goes back into her account and comes out of your list. If you don’t convert a donation to boob bucks it will retain whatever transaction rate that was originally associated with the donation. It doesn’t adopt the new rate until it’s actually redistributed through the new transfer mechanism.
Great step, great upgrade.
so….if a lady leaves, an whatnot, any donation will go to the boob bank? example, I could say have a zero balance in my boob bank, then an hour later suddenly have a $5.00 balance?
Question:
So all donations now will become 19% cuts no matter what they were before, either 15% or 10% cuts?
I have $230 in donations that are 10% cut and $547 that are 15% cut out there in circulation among several ladies campaigns.
Will any of there become 19% cuts if she leaves or gets deleted?
@CCR – I no longer see the option to choose a friend to transfer returned donations (from the non-protected pool). I believe they have removed our ability to transfer directly to another woman from the non-protected pool of returned donations and they now must be transferred into the protected boob bank first. Once we transfer the returned donations into the boob bank, older donation get converted to the current 19% rate (as I understand it). So, I believe the answer to your question is yes. I think any donation returned at the 10% or 15% cuts get converted to a 19% cut now once you move the donation.
And Ceiling Cat said it was good. =) And yes, I believe Walter is right. All the returned donations or funds that ahve been subject to the older cuts will be converted to the difference to make it 19% when put in the bob bank. They may ahve removed the option to transfer from the boob bank as he described, but it’s a plus to ahve added the ability to donate straight from the model’s page with he chosen amount, so you don’t ahve to check the model number and make sure it’s the right model, as some may ahve the same name. The user names is also a good idea, but this makes allocating fund so much easier.
Ok, that is a loss for the ladies. Say all my 10% and 15% would be return sometime in the future, it would be a loss of total $42.58 for the next coming ladies. Well i understand it in a way. that the management does this is understandable in a business point of view, but in the end it is the ladies that loses on what will be returned from older cuts, no matter what.
I have to end this with a quote from this web site:
“Every little bit helps! From $5 to $50, no amount is too small.”
Yes, that’s correct as described. Like I said though even any 50% rates (direct donations under $5) will also be converted. So on those we’ll take a loss. The motivation for this change wasn’t profit, it was to give you more ease of use and flexibility in how you contribute to friends. There is just simply no elegant way to allow people to combine and/or split donations with different rates. So the alternative was to just establish a common rate across the board.
On the plus side you get your money back to spend again for pictures and videos, so you for sure can not beat that at whatever rate !
No other site on this planet offers that.
I quite like the change, it was something that I was hoping for, and it has been implemented with some reasonable compromises.
This is cool, but I’m wondering…
Why isn’t the total in the ‘boob pool’ just the money I can transfer? — as it looks now, I could type in an amount, hit send and the lady gets what I’ve sent *less* the fee… The fee should just be deducted when I buy the pool, and every penny in the pool is what goes to the ladies. More intuitive and saves on mental math. Simple, eh?
I could see it either way. We decided to do it this way mainly because that’s how the old transfer feature worked — you saw the gross amount, not the net amount. So we kept it the same in order to avoid any sudden and shocking confusion that would no doubt open a whole slew of support requests asking “where’s my money!?”
There is of course still the donation calculator on that same Donate page you can use to figure actual cost vs. actual donation.
As i see but have not tried to, it is possible to send $1 donation (net $0.81)? Or is there a minimum amount?
From above: “We have set a $1 minimum transfer however to try and be fair to the ladies. And for those of you that want to be able to send $1.00 along with any free message you send, you now have that option too via this much more flexible transfer mechanism.”
…but yeah, is that a dollar on my side, or on the receiver’s side? See? This is what I was talking about…
To keep things as simple as possible and familiar as possible it works consistently with the way “regular” donations work. A $100 regular donation equals $81 in the ladies account. A $100 transfer ALSO equals $81 in the ladies account. So, the minimum transfer is actually $1.24 which equals $1.00 in the ladies account.
My head hurts!!!
I’d just like my message credits back quicker, please?
Penny, on the flip side, the women know the rules when they sign on, and many of them flaunt the many “activity” loopholes to their advantage. You are correct, that no other site allows the funds to revert back to a donor when the model does not follow the guidelines (in this case, the activity terms). But when a bene donates here, they know the money is going to fund implants. If you make a generalized assumption that all benes are here for pictures and videos to make your point, then I can generalize that every model on those other sites is lying when they give a sob story for why they need money, when it is going to feed their drug habits. Quite a stretch on both generalizations, wouldn’t you say?
@Chris – six months is better than not getting them back at all.
I hear you on the ‘consistent’ front, Jason, and I hope none of my words have sounded argumentative — I think this system is a really cool improvement.
I am coming at this from the perspective of: a) a non-impulse buyer (I’ve only ever pre-purchased donations, and thus have never made a ‘regular’ donation) and 2) someone who would prefer to see the computer side of things handle the ‘calculus’ of this.
I don’t expect you to change things on my account, obviously. But I throw them out in case they make any sense for some future iteration of the system….
Carry on.
Nope, I didn’t interpret them as argumentative at all. More like inquisitive.
Feedback is always appreciated!
Of course, if the boob bank functioned in “delivered dollars” (ie, dollars after fees) then donations could be put back in at their original rate.
So a $10.00 donation made at the 10% rate would put $9 into the bank; $10 at the 15% rate would put 8.50 in and current donations of $10 would credit the account 8.10
The same could more or less be accomplished the other way.
Donations that were made at the original amount of $10 with a rate of 10% would net a model $9. That would translate to $9/.81 or 11.11 to maintain the value to the model.
To be a bit constructively critical here, when I joined this site about two years ago, the “cut” was 10%, then 15%, and now…19%! W.T.F.? I know there have been other positive changes (such as state-of-the-industry video chat, and “free” message credits based on each year of membership) but this is getting a little “maydoffish” no? The growing pool of investors attracted by Maydoff’s high returns were metaphorically speaking, similar to the women attracted to this site by the prospect of augmentations. The initial investor’s principle might be symbolized by both older benefactor donations, and the current liquid flow of benefactor’s incoming boob bank money.
By my calculations, we now have the emergence of a trend in the metrics, and even at this year’s lower 2.65% growth rate in the cut, we are looking at 76 cents on the dollar to girls by 2011, 70 cents on the dollar by 2012, 62 cents on the dollar by 2013! And 2013 is less than three years away!!
I’m really not trying to sound like an accusatory skeptic here, but where do the increases in “the cut” end? The costs of any health care inflation are reflected in higher dollar amounts girls need to set to reach their goals. Might I add the membership fees are likely higher for most members now. I must admit, I am still scratching my head and pondering all of this, and how sustainable the economic model is here at this site. However, ostensibly, these price increases, if you will, make me wonder.
