We just took a first stab at a “system to recognize long time members” based on an extensive review of many of the comments left. Upon your premium membership subscription renewal we are factoring in your length of membership and awarding you 5 bonus free message credits for every year that you’ve been a member. So for example if you’ve been here from the start (2005), you’ll now receive 25 free credits (5 credits X 5 years = 25 credits) with every automatic renewal, along with your regular 5 paid credits. That’s 30 message credits each month!
Some of the veterans have some of the best advice for new girls, and so hopefully you can now pass along your wise words of advice and encouragement to new ladies at no additional cost to you.
You will need to have at least a C-Cup or DD-Cup membership level at the time of the auto-renewal in order to take advantage of this offer but it’s okay if you had a lapse in membership (or need to take a temporary break) as it’s based purely on when you originally created your account. We feel this method struck a balance between most of the concerns voiced for privacy of the reward since only you know how many credits you have, and only you know what subscription level you have.
We’re going to leave the feedback forum item open with a “started” status for a while in case anyone else has other ideas to contribute, as we view this as only 1 piece of the puzzle in recognizing the veterans here.

Leave A CommentAm I reading this rightly…? These are ‘free’ credits, as in they don’t contribute to the lady’s progress, but act like the five initial freebie credits a new member gets to use just for signing up?
Or do these actually somehow make a dollar appear and add to a lady’s total progress toward her goal?
Either way, this initially sounds very cool. Better to send a message that’s ‘free/$0′ for now, than have to ignore someone’s reaching out completely…
i think this is good step in right direction. wish this was done last week. when i renewed my membership last sat. oh well. guess have to wait and do it this month. in another 24 days or so.
Yes, they are free (no monetary value) credits. The same type you get upon sign-up or for donations in excess of $20.
pooey on the no monetary value part LOL.. but great middle ground so as not to make anyone jealous because one has been here longer then the other.
Up to 30 credits (at this point in time) a month… How do we, as a benefactor, tell whether or not a message sent is a free one or one that pays the model? Which is used first, the free message or the paid one? With up to 25 free credit (as of now), it would be a bit harder for the benefactor to keep track of the non-monetary messages.

It works the same way free credits have always worked; when sending a message it will first deduct from your balance of free credits, and when those are depleted it will deduct from your paid credits balance. In order to keep the interface simplified we don’t make you choose which type of credit you want to use. All you have to do is worry about the message, and the system handles the accounting for you.

So when these drop into our accounts, we might need to rip through them quickly, so as to be able to send messages with a little value to them…
Still, this is a cool idea, even if there may be some kinks to work out on the user end…

Since I last logged on I have had 10 credits added, which I assume are these free credits. Right now, I want to reply to someone, and I ***WANT*** it to be a paid message – I want her to receive a credit.
But from what you wrote, it sounds like I first have to use up all the 10 free credits before I can send a paid message (that is, send a message that actually helps someone). Is this the way it is set up?

YEP that is the way it is set up. unfortunately for the girls one wants to help but makes it nice for a guy to send a first message to a girl and see if she is worthy of a paid message. *meaning will she return the message or will she just ignore it* if she returns the free message then she has at least shown that she got the message and took the time to reply. by then hopefully you will be through your free messages to send her a paid one.
so to recap…. yes it uses the free messages first and you have no choice other then use them up quickly and then get to your paid messages to send to whom you wish to help.
Seems like lots of confusion, and I will be honest, my head is spinning as well. And of course, I want to confuse it a little more: how about at the beginning of each month, when benes get returned message credits…how are we able to discern easily which of those credits is one that will push a model closer to her goal (paid) or is just a fluff message, which could be used for encouragement (free).
I agree with Gil what if you want to send a paid message instead? or use it as a donation etc, and not waste the free credits for when you just want to send a message/tip to a model?
Just to be clear. NOTHING has changed about how credits are used. The ONLY change is how many credits members with subscriptions receive.

Oh… I am confused.
Through a these years i did $20 donation i thought that the message credit i got for buying a $20 donation had a the monetary value of $1, because it shows up on my balance toward her i send it, both in my total and her total balance.
Or have i got this all wrong what is said in this thread? But no, what does this mean:

Why are all my message credits always showing up as $1 in her total balance of her funds when they are free? If they have no monetary value then they should NOT show up as a monetary value in her funds or in my contribution to her.
Maybe i have got all this wrong and misunderstood it all, as i am far out in Swedish archipelago and breathing a very clear air.
I am confused… Maybe disappointed, as i maybe have misunderstood things about the free message for every $20 for several years now.

The free messages that are given for every 20 dollars donated are quite confusing as well. Apparently when you donate and don’t have any paid messages, they are worth zero, but if you buy credits or the membership is renewed, all the messages get a value. I agree with CCR, maybe some people is here to just meet ladies, but some are here to actually help them reach their goal, so either the messages should have a monetary value and be equal to the bought credits, or they should be separated from the ones that actually help the ladies reach their goal, that way you can choose to answer a cut and paste message (or one that may look like one) with a free message or contact someone who you do not know and not risk your money until you know them better, and use your paid messages with the people you know well.

when a girl here gets a free message..it does not show up in her totals…it shows the message time and then behind it says “free message” never shows up in any totals
i think it is a good idea for guys to be able to separate these messages ..like choose to send a free or paid…btu over all i think these extra messages are a good thing:) even though they are free…they will at least help start friendships..
Well, if we get to choose what kind of messages we want to send, people won’t be able to hide behind the excuse that they have no control over what kind of messages they’re sending.
How about showing a benefactor (and only to himself) how many of each messages he’s got, and allowing him to convert them, say, five or then free messages for one paid? Or more, if needed, as I realize this is cutting into MFI’s cut, but I’m sure a fair figure could be found, and this would be voluntary anyways.

I *think* only we see how many message credits we have — it doesn’t show up to the ladies, just like how the progress breakdown they see on their own profiles doesn’t show up for us when we look at them (they can see who’s sent them what, while we just see a dollar amount for total-progress-so-far).

This is the first step for this with recognition of long time benefactors (a suggestion i never voted for and will not vote for). however as it is the first step, then please make it so we see w that we have Free zero monetary value message credits in our message credits. And if they are the first be sent, then just a change of the color of the number will do for to know if there are free/$0 message credits and then when they are used up the text color changes back its normal color.
Yes J Coverman, only us can see how many message credits we have. What I meant by my precision was that I’d like to see the breakdown, too, even if I can’t choose which will be used. But I don’t want ladies to have access to that info, either, just as they can’t access it now.
OK, why not make it so we can choose what kind of message credit we want to send to a lady. If there are both kinds the system asks us or we have to check a box for either free/$0 or paid/$, if there is only one kind in our message credits the system will not ask us.
the thing is- i dont seem to notice sending messages and the girl not getting a dollar, and believe me, I have looked for it a great deal
I also believe that if we knew what kind of message the next one in the list was, then I for one would use the free ones to be able to chat to the girls that dont seem to be able chat to work

I have just come to realize that I do NOT like tihs feature at all. I got a few messages in my email saying I had messages here and was VERY excited. Then I log in and see that they are ALL free messages. this doesnt help me at all towards my goals. ohh and all those messages were from my friends that I have had a while. meaning as long as they can write me for free then they will but if they had to shell out a dollar to me then they have better things to do. hmmmmmmm. I HATE THIS FEATURE. I guess you find out who your friends are afterall huh?

Whether my message earns you a buck or not, it demonstrates at least some level of interest in the person I’ve sent it to. I’m not sending free messages deliberately, but I think anyone who chose not to respond to a message from a longtime benefactor because it was free is shooting themselves in the foot.
I think granting the choice will have its own negative impact since it will mean I didn’t spend that buck on purpose. In that case, I think repeated offenses might make me annoyed.
On the other hand, I wonder how many people get free messages vs. how many have free chats each day.

@Judy: really? If I were you I’d embrace the fact that someone reached out to you in the first place and put in the effort. Benefactors have tons of women that would love to get attention from them. You should feel lucky.

Not in the order MFI decides them being used. When/If i have free/$0 messages i might want to send paid to those i currently talk to and not free/$0 messages.
I am not saying that I did not respond to said messages because I ALWAYS respond to every message I get with excitement and joy to have gotten a message at all. It just got me frustrated to see in my email I had messages and then log in to see that it didnt help me towards my goal at all.
and why is everyone attacking me. a few benes have said they are here to send their donations in the form of paid messages and so forth. and being the ONLY female that has the guts to respond to this update. *other then becky that has just commented on someones post rather then the update in general an also said she thinks the benes should be able to seperate paid from free* .. hmmmmm I bet there are more ladies here that feel the same as me but wont say anything because they are afraid.
well of course getting free messages isnt as awesome as a paid one..i knwo the guys even knwo that!!
