If you haven’t noticed it yet, we just added a really slick new Feedback widget to the website (you must be logged in to the community area to see it). This new little tool will give all of YOU much more power in determining the future of MFI, which is very exciting!!
We’ve always tried our best to listen to your comments, suggestions and feedback through the history of MFI. Even with our recently rolled out help-desk ticketing system, we have been capturing and logging your feedback and suggestions. But we feel this new feature will make that even easier now, and it will also let you all collaborate on ideas, as well as vote on them. Again, very exciting!
So how does it work?
Well, once you are logged into the site, from any page you can click on the little Feedback tab on the left side of the screen. It will display a nice little dialog window of current ideas. You can then either vote on ideas you like, or create a new idea and vote for that one. You can even vote multiple times for an idea if you REALLY like one. But, you only have 10 votes to use, so you have to prioritize!
Once an idea has been implemented, you’ll get your votes back and you can use them on another idea. Or, if you change your mind you can move votes from one idea to another that you think is of more importance. You can also visit the feedback forum and post comments related to a particular idea.
As we gather new ideas and people vote on ideas they like, the great ideas will float to the top and we can start plucking them off the list to start adding them to MFI for you! This doesn’t mean that EVERYTHING you want will make it into MFI, as we still have to retain a little bit of control, but this will definitely let you communicate your thoughts to us (and others) for consideration.
We’ve gone ahead and pre-populated the list with about 20 requests that we’ve gathered in the past from multiple people, so you can start voting right away. Or, as I mentioned, if you don’t see your idea listed, go ahead and add it!
We look forward to seeing what’s on your mind!
“Communities are the easiest way to turn feedback into action.”
Thanks for providing your feedback and insight, and have a happy Thanksgiving!

Leave A CommentI get errors when clicking any of ideas or the “Go to the Forum” link:
“Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)”
– just came by to see what is new and noticed that tab right away!
however, on this computer the window it pops up is narrow and clearly has info ‘off-stage’ to either side (like i think I can sign in with MFI log-in or the host’s log-in, but I can really only see the fields for the host). Can’t scroll around within the window, either. — I’ll try my other computer later and see what’s what…
But this is a cool idea! And, Jason, control…? Who needs it?
I see it is new sub domain created for this (feedback.myfreeimplants.com), maybe it has not uhm proprogate all over the Internet or what the name is for it?
same here CCR
Some people have been using it ok so far, so it does appear to be an issue of the domain not yet resolved for some as the changes my have not yet propagated across the Internet. Give it a little bit more time if it’s not yet working for you.
its not working for me
Did not work at first for me, but then I logged out (I’d logged back in at midnight, so that cookie was still valid), logged back in, and now it works.
It worked for me. I like it!
What would be considered enough votes to actually make the proposal become something? Meaning, a bunch of people vote on this an idea, but will anyone ever see the idea become reality?
@Rachel: There’s really no magic number of votes we are looking for. In theory, over time, everything has the potential to get implemented.
This is great, lots of great ideas. As Jason stated, everything has the potential to get implemented-if it’s possible and workable. Like an invention the idea comdes, but the hard part is making it work. not always that easy.
For Windows PC users, try using http://www.ccleaner.com it’s a great free utility to clear out browser and other junk fast and easy. Sometimes all that accumulated junk on long browser sessions cause errors. It works best if you close your browser and run it.
One thing that would be nice to have from the MFI side is an estimate of time required for changes. I might be more inclined to vote for changes with quick implementation times so I get my votes back quickly, for example.
Obviously this feedback system should not be used to shape the strategic direction of the site.
What impact with this have on the redesign?
Thanks, Jason! I can’t wait to see how it all works out.
It shouldn’t impact the redesign at all. In fact it should help because we can look at the feedback forum and predict new features and how that might impact the new site design and tell the designers “I need you to add a delete button here” or “we need a way to navigate to a new section there” etc…
cool feature
This is going to really help navigate the site with things that are in progress to be fixed or changed. I look forward to new features and advanced usage of this site. Thanks J’s and support staff for thinking of such a clever way to improve the site.
it worked for me too!!! love it great idea….i agree i agree i agree…
