Texas Woman Fakes Breast Cancer, Uses Donations for Implants

Trista Joy Lathern, 24, is charged with taking over ten thousand dollars raised to treat her fake breast cancer, and spending the money on breast implants instead. Lathern went as far as shaving her head, and then held a fundraiser for herself that was attended by dozens of friends and neighbors.

    OH MY GOSH! That is a stick and sad story! I read the whole thing and it made me sick to my stomach! I can not beleive that someone would fake something so serious! uggh! Now when someone in that town REALLY needs help everyone will be sceptical. **puke**

    ROFLMAO What a douche bag…She should have gone to another state as to not get caught! LOL Just kidding! But her husband not know? WTF..When I had cancer(twice), (I was married at the time) that dip was with me at EVERY single appt and treatment! He must be just as much of a douche bag to not have known the truth! Impressive that she pulled it off at least for the time that she did!

    Makes me wonder how many bullshit stories we’ve heard here on MFI for sympathy donations, that unfortunately, tarnish the real survivors like Ginger.

    Some people would try anything..A real insult to the people that are geniunely suffering with Breast cancer..Yes we ladies do want boobies but we wouldnt stoop so low to achieve them..She took advantage of peoples good heartedness and donations..Shame on the lady!

    Appalling, all we can hope is that what goes around comes around. She must feel sick having to look at herself and her boobs in the mirror every day. Well I know I would if I had to stoop so low to make myself feel better? I can’t imagine she would feel any better in herself because true beauty comes from within and the picture we are given so far isn’t very pretty.
