We often get questions from people (usually in the UK) asking how they can contribute to the ladies on the site if they don’t have a credit card. I know some people have been successful in purchasing pre-paid credit cards using cash, and then turning around and using that card on MFI. If you have any experience purchasing pre-paid cards, please leave some feedback in the comments below. Any details including cards not to buy (Vanilla??) or places to buy them would be of great value in helping us to help others so that they can help others! :)

Go team!

I’ve got a debit card, and that works fine for me, as obviously I can’t spend if I don’t have the cash in my account to begin with.

Mastercard do pre-paid credit cards you can buy from WHSmiths(UK) and i imagine anywhere. You can just keep topping it up and as with all credit cards you can use it anywhere that accepts them.

I have experience with all kinds of cards. One is the GREENDOT pre paid card. This card comes as a Mastercard or a Visa which you can purchase in CVS,KMart,Shoppers Food store,Rite Aid and Radio Shack and other places like these. You can also reload the one card you have by doing a direct deposit or just get another card to reload with. Simple and very easy to use! Also another other pre-paid cards are also available at these store.. Just depends on your preference and location. These cards do come in very handy. I use them for my online shopping and I will tell you this…. I LOVE THEM ALL! LOL LatinVixen

I have used Netspend/Ace Advantage card in the past for online purchases. I’m not sure if this is available in the UK but you can find them at http://www.netspend.com. I know that you can also try Walmart or a check cashing store and they usually have options. Good luck!

I have always used prepaid cards on mfi but you have to be careful you cant use some prepaid cards on mfi.I bought a 100 dollar gift card once to use on MFI I cant remember the name of the company that sold it but it had a visa logo on it but the company will not pay to gambling or porn sites and since the company that mfi uses to process credit cards also does it for those other sites no mfi American express gift cards wont work also.there are 2 companies that work great and they both have throw away gift cards and re loadable cards and thats ALL-ACCESS..YOU CAN LEARN MORE ABOUT THEM AT ALLACCESSGIFT.COM or NETSPEND.COM and the other one is from GIFT CARD HALL…WWW.GIFTCARDHALL.COM…Ihave never had a problem with these 2 cards and i use them all the time for MFI

    @joe
Vannilla gift cards u can’t us anywhere online. i always read the package of the cards before getting them. if it doesn’t say can be used online. i don’t buy it.
but now i have a walmartmoneycard i use all the time. it only cost 3bucks to load anywhere from 3bucks to up to 1500max on the card. if u put your check on the card it is free. only down side has a 3buck month fee to use it. but to me i feel money saved there when u pay more for the other card like allaccessgift.com and the gifcard hall cards in the long run is worth it.

I second what LatinVixen said…I’ve used several types of prepaid credit cards and Greendot was the simplest.

I was going to say that the one I really had problems with was American Express, but if it won’t work here anyway, then I probably don’t need to mention that. :-)

Not true Andy after I found out that I could not use the vanilla gift card for mfi I went to a site called 3wishes.com and used it to by the wife 100 bucks worth of sexy lingerie, girls check out that site they have some really nice stuff at really good prices. so they do work on line and with the all-access gift cards a 100 dollar gift card cost you 105.95 and the 50 dollar card cost you 53.95 and the 25 dollar card only cost you 28.95.and thats it no other fees

    Whatever.

Debit cards never made any sense to me. Where’s the benefit to let any entity have instant access to your bank account?

Use a credit card and pay it off every month. You get to use the banks money for a month.

Using a credit card, your money makes interest in the bank for a month. A debit card doesn’t give you that benefit.

Isn’t it the smart thing to do to use other peoples money? When you use a credit card, you’re using the banks money for 30 days or more. With a debit card, banks have instant access to your money.

I just don’t get debit cards. WTF. Somebody school me. What’s the benefit of a debit card when using a credit card gives you access to using the banks money for thirty days?

I’ve actually been using the vanilla mastercards for the last 6-7 months and have had no problems using them on MFI. The only thing I don’t like is you can’t reload them. Wish I could find a reloadable card in Canada. Other than that I’ve had good luck with them.

some people cant get a credit card due to bad credit, so a debit card with credit card features is an option

i use the following prepaid card bouht in the UK. It works very well and can be topped up at the Post Office (takes 2 to 3 days to top up) or Cheque Cashing Centre (tops up in 30 minutes) plus you can do it via your bank too. The web link is http://www.mycashplus.co.uk/ and i use it all the time when buying messages and/or donations. There is no charge to top up and u can top up as many times as you wish, minimum amount £10. It does charge a 3% Auithoristation fee for Foreign currency transactions.

    Hope this helps Mark

I’ve been using the Mastercard prepaid card offered by Money Mart here in Canada, and they work perfectly for MFI, so I imagine that anything like that would work. I know some people have said the check cashing places offer them already, but I figured I would throw my 2 cents in anyway. :)
