Reducing Wish-Laundry-Lists, down to something more manageable.
by Jason: MyFreeImplants on June 26th, 2009It’s interesting how divided people are over the wishlist feature! In my experience that’s pretty par for the road though. Change always sparks a bit of controversy, which is generally a good thing I think. In reading a lot of the comments in emails and in blogs, we’ve decided to limit the number of items in a wish list to just 10 items for now. 10 is more than enough than a newbie should need to help her out with any assets that may assist in her journey. And 10 is probably about the number of benefactors who like wishlists that a HOF girl will have. So it should still serve both purposes of the wishlists feature. And I think everyone here agrees that the focus should really be on implants and making friends to help fund the implants. So scaling back the list to only 10 will help in bringing the focus back to that, and away from that game of ‘how many products does amazon sell, and how many can i fit in one list?’ The answer to that question apparently is a lot!

to me i love love love the wishlist thing. but u need to allow options of gift cards to other sites that sell items that will help a girl out after her boobs. like Victoria secrets and Fredericks of hollywood. this will allot the girl to get new bras for her new boobs when surgary is done and she knows her size. but to me this would enahnce the whole wishlist concept.

Oh and you can also delete your list now if you don’t want it, or if you need to start over with a different list for some reason.

I think this is agreat idea and will slow down the fact that ladies are only signing up or only coming back due to the wishlist option. I think this is onlt fair and will keep the focus on what the site is really about. I have even adjusted my wishlist to keep it based on the site and I have to say Thank you to all who has done the same. Let’s stay on focused on what the real reason why most of us are here for!BOOBS! LatinVixen

It appears that I can only have 6 items. Also, it appears that there is some issues with the address feature in the wish list, one of my friends that I know off site purchased me something off my list and he still needed my address to complete the purchase. Since I know him I didn’t mind, but that doesn’t seem right.. is there something I need to do internally on amazon.com, I thought I profiled an address?

A couple of things to consider for the women when putting things on their wish lists: depending on the functionality of the Amazon affiliate program, most gift card will not show on the wish list here, as MFI, or any affiliate, does not realize an affiliate payment on cards. Also, there are some business partners of Amazon who do not participate in the affiliate program, which is why some of the flower and candy requests are not showing.
It is normal for gift card purchases to be excluded from ANY affinity program.
@Jason, interesting news up here in Seattle today is Amazon is shutting down the affiliate program (not wish lists) for participants in North Carolina because of new taxation legislation passed this week. California, as well as three other states, was also noted as a state that is expected to pass the same legislation in coming weeks, and Amazon would be shutting down the affiliate program for California participants as well. If this is no longer a revenue generator for MFI, will it still be supported by the site?

Can the wishlist work with other amazon sites like amazon UK and amazon CA because a lot of stuff from the amazon.com site can not be shipped to places outside the united states.

I also like Arthur was wondering about being able to use the wishlist feature with Amazon UK. I live in the UK and a lot of the things on the US amazon wont ship to UK or do most things only in 1 size etc.
