…how long did It take for your Implants to begin to settle into the pocket? We get this question all the time, and being men (without implants) we’re really not qualified to say. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Leave A CommentMine began to noticeably settle after one month, definitely dropped by 6 weeks.
Mine dropped within around three weeks…but this is my second time, so last time id say around six weeks same as the above comment, you dont really notice it happening until they finally fill a bra real nicely:D Rachel xxx
It was noticeable after a month and even better at 6 weeks.
I can say it was about a month for me even though I had some complications. Now it’s been a total of 11 months on July 13th, fully settled and are great…. except I landed getting Capsular contracture 2 months after my first surgery which will be getting fixed July 17th. It is something that can happen after surgery,But I do not regret my choice and actually having it done again! Thanks Guys for these amazing gifts that you have placed on my chest! lol LatinVixen
About 6 months… I am going on a year and they are perfect now!
Its going on 14 months for me and I would say they changed a lot over that time. But the initial “dropping and fluffing” happened at the 4 to 6 week mark.
Mine started dropping after terrible back spasm and muscle pain on day 5.. buy day 14 they were sitting where they are at now. I went under muscle.
About a month before they were dropped, but another two weeks before all the traumatic swelling had gone down. By about 5 months they “fluffed.” And now that I’m pregnant I don’t know if the changes are from that or from more settling lol
3rd week
I’m 5 weeks post op now
3rd week it finally started dropping a tiny bit. I’m 5 weeks now and they are starting to look so much more normal.
My implants settled maybe 4/5 weeks after……wait a sec, these aren’t implants!!!
I know quite a few of the post-op women who have left MFI and they all seemed to say 4 to 8 weeks after was when the implants began to settle. The first few weeks is when there can be a lot of “mega swelling”!
June 23rd marks two months for me, and they still haven’t dropped all the way, but they are very soft right now. I’m thinking in another month or so they’ll be settled properly. Love these girls!!! (grin)
…dumped, dropped, whatever you call it, it usually happened after the first date, maybe the second. So what’s that, like, 24 hours? Heck, maybe even before the first day – I call that ‘shut down’.
Is that what you wanted to know?
…Okay, what’s ‘tmi’ mean?
This is something I stressed everyone around me with I admit. I was impatient. I am into week #7 and they are still dropping. At first I kept saying I needed bigger, because it seemed like they were too small, but now I see how it is supposed to work. And working it is. I will wait till my one year mark to make any decisions on enlarging or not.
The type of implants you had and the incision placement is valuable information. Great feedback ladies! Please keep it coming. I’m sure the new women really appreciate your wisdom
Allergan low profiles 410 series…are wider than your normal high profiles they seem to fill up my chest area more than the high profiles they also dont feel as heavy either:D incisions were under the breast crease and have healed perfectly, and yes they are under the muscle too…..my boobies will be five weeks old this friday so im sure they will continue to settle and become even more yummier than they are now!!!!!! Rachel xxx
my implants were placed over the muscle and have dropped already i had my surgery 2 weeks today, the swelling has completly gone, and im hoping they wont drop any further lol, they shouldnt do as i had 380cc allergan implants and round pert boobs b4,now there just bigger, but not too weighty that they will drop down to my midriff haha x
One dropped in about a month, the other dropped 2 weeks later. Mine were under placed under the muscle.
Great info girls !!
( correct me if i am wrong.. ) Thanks
I have only seen one girl who did “over the muscle” so.. KEZ, could you pls tell me.. why over the muscle and how do you feel ? I am sorta going to that direction to.. thinking about cohesive medium profile, over the muscle..
RACHEL… why low profile ? isnt’ that going to make the boobies even lower ?
xoxo Victoria HOF xoxoxo
Hi Victoria…..Umm low profiles were recommended for me, for shape and fullness rather than the actual projection of the high profiles i had before …..Nope they are not lower than the ones i had either, infact they seem slightly higher…But they are wider than high profile, which suit me far better:D Id recommend you google Allergan 410 series and read up on the different shapes/projections that silicone can come in:p Rachel xxx
I had cohesive gel implants under the muscle with the incision in the crease of the breasts. It took about 2 weeks for them to start to drop but by about 4 or 5 weeks they had settled into the pocket but continued to get softer and look more and more natural.
I actually have the Allergan 410 as well. Moderate profile and textured. LOVE THEM! I am now 4.5 months post-op and loving my new twins!
Mine are Mentor smooth round moderate profile saline behind muscle with areola incisions. You cannot even see the scar! I used Vit E capsules, cut them open and massaged in twice a day. Wanted a full C ended up a baby D and I too could not be happier! They look very natural and people are shocked when I tell them they are implants! They feel, bounce and shake just like naturals LOL!
Well, mine really started to look nice at about the two and half month mark. However, they say that you won’t have the final result until the 9 month mark, so they do continue to adjust.
I have mentor moderate profile, smooth, round, 400cc saline implants placed under the muscle via crease incision. my implants started to drop around 6 weeks, but I noticed significant differences around week 8 or so. my right one was quicker to heal than my left, so it was easy for me to see the changes.
I have Mentor, High Profile, Smooth, Round 420cc overfilled to 450cc and 470cc. My incision was at the crease of my breasts. I started to drop at 4 weeks but it became really noticeable at 6 weeks and got better over time. I did notice early on that one side dropped a little more quickly then the other and joked with the hubby about being lopsided at the time. Just remember when you first get home and you look at them the first time they will get better looking. And one big word of advice is that you follow your doctors directions to the exact letter…very important. If you are experiencing anything that you feel is not normal call your doctor he can answer your questions. Thats what he’s there for..
Ok so i had my implants done on May 28th today im 4 weeks post op…. I had 720 cc saline under the muscle…mentor…… have they dropped? well a bit but im kinda lost in yonkers……. they are still hard…but getting softer….. so im tired of waiting and wanna see how big they are actually gonna be… dont they get bigger as they fluff or what ever drop….. so confused at this point….. lol
sorry its taken so long to get bk 2 u victoria,in regards to having my implants over the muscle, the amount of time to recover is significantly reduced,as well as the pain haha,my surgeon said i had good skin and because i wasnt having extremly large implants due to my petite frame it was unlikely that the skin would stretch and look unatural,i looked into both over/under surgeries, the pros and the cons, capsular contracture, infection, interference with mammograms etc,and to me if ur surceptible to any of things,it will happen regardless, i definately had to take recovery time into consideration due to my everyday commitments,im now 2wks days after surgery and doing everything as normal, with no discomfort and my breast are supple, moveable, the swelling has gone, and i cant wait to wear some sexy lingerie lol! hope this helps anyone considering over the muscle,if u want any more info just ask, thanks xxxxxx
Thanks for Rachel and Kez for your time… I would definitely like to see the after pics… he.he.he..
I can’t wait to get my own..
Cheers,
Victoria
What does “fluff” mean? Because I haven’t chosen a doctor yet, and have only been on consults so far, I haven’t heard any of this terminology yet.
Also, while everybody is answering surgery questions, this may be “off-topic”, or maybe totally “on-topic”, but I was told at my last consultation that my nipples are placed low already and that it may hinder me being able to go to a full “C”… Did anyone else have a doctor mention nipple placement before surgery versus after surgery?
Thank you Jay for opening up this thread! It would be nice if you could keep it open and so pre-op models could ask surgery type questions like this of all kinds.

Mine dropped considerably by 1 month and completely by month 2..
Hey girls!!
People still ask me if mine are fake or real. I love them! If anyone is looking for a great Dr. near Ohio, let me know.
Mine are 800ccs/under the muscle/crease incision/silicone/High Profiles (Natrelle). They took about 5-6 weeks to drop
<3, Sweet Lo
I went with about 500cc high profile. I had to wear a strap around my boobs for a couple months to get them to settle in a lower place, as well as massaging them a lot. By the time that was over they had dropped a lot, but even though they dropped a lot, doesn’t mean they were settled into their “final resting place”. I’d say that took maybe about 6 months.
In regaurds to Classy: I had very very low nipples.. my mom told me it looked like I had given birth to 3 kids and breast feed them all. My doctor told me the high cc I had, the more my nipple would move up. I opted not to get a lift, and I’m very happy with the results
Getting pretty close now, would love to know from the post op girls, what size you were to start with, what cc and profile you went with and what size it made you in the end?
I am currently not even an A cup and my dr has suggested 350CC High profile in the crease and said it will make me a full C. Would love to hear yours as a comparison.
Thanks so much for helping us pre op girls! I know you know where we are at right now!
Hugs

my right boob took only 3 weeks, my left took 7 weeks. i looked strange for a while there lol
added info: i got 860 ccs saline, under the muscle
Hi everyone! I had my surgery 5 days ago and of course I’m all swollen. But when I look in the mirror, they seem too big, when I went to see my dr I told him I wanted them to look completely natural… and now I kinda got the feeling the never will. So, after they drop…can they look smaller?
