As many of you know we conducted a survey recently asking for the communities opinion on allowing the funding of other surgeries besides breast augmentations/lifts. The survey went out to approximately 2,000 of our most senior members (men and women) Thank you to the nearly 800 people who gave their input! We really appreciate you helping us shape the future of MFI.
The survey results showed a unanimous support for allowing other surgeries to be funded. What order they are funded, or which surgeries will be allowed are still under consideration. But in the meantime, we wanted to share the information that the ability to fund other surgeries (in some form) is coming soon!

i am ALL FOR earning a different surgery. As yall may know, i have a screwed up tummy froma birth defect, a belly from having kids, and i dont have a belly button… i would LOVE to be able to get a tummy tuck with scar revision and be able to get my VERY FIRST belly button! I really appreciate Jason and Jay for getting the ball rolling on this. And youre right… if the guys dont want to pay for something, simply dont donate! This site will always be called myfreeIMPLANTS.. so most of the people joining would be here for the cause of boobs. Either way, I really appreciate the other 799 of you who voted to bring this in. If I am able to have a normal tummy for the first time in my life, I would be kissing 799 pairs of feet, srsly LOL

This is soooo cool!!! I think just getting the boobs would make a massive difference to my life, it’s something I’ve wanted and seriously thought about for over 10 years, but if I ever got to the same stage of thinking about lipo or a tummy tuck it would be great to have that option. Awesome that so many are in support of this! But would the surgeries you listed in the survey be the only ones you are considering doing? I KNOW many women here have spoken about having stretch marks. I honestly believe that adding in skin resurfacing would be nice as well! Not to mention that SOME of us are getting older and well, I may get aging spots soon if I’m not careful!

I love the idea too.. and was so excited to even see the survey..and i guess what i had in mind isnt very popular because not a single person mentioned it but.. ill just say it just because i want the brazilian butt lift… have you heard of it..its where they take fat from other parts of your body..(lipo) and place it in your rear-end!! its like a two in one deal!! thats what id want to balance out my body with boobs and booty!!

I’d be curious to see the breakout without the marketing spin, or how the indifferent would support the against side. It is interesting how “unanimous” support is a combination of “indifferent” and “for” votes, when one could argue that with just 28% of the donors being “indifferent”, there was unanimous dissent.
And since when has unanimous been subjective? Unanimous means all, and clearly, the fact is 1/4 of the donors are against this, and could be argued just as easily, if donor indifference was 28% or more, that donors are “unanimously” against.
One can only hope that management can get their s*it together when it pertains to the core business, shoring up all of the issues with the site, as well as post-HOF review and payment process, before rolling this out.
How does the “unanimous” spin look when it comes to how the donors voted on when the models could start earning for these other procedures?

i would hope that body lift surgery will be considered. although i am happy with my looks i’m not happy with what i have been left with after loosing weight from a gastic bypass 9 years ago. the NHS wont pay for the corrective surgery needed!

i have a bit of a question, if ur earning towards boobs and other procedures can u reach hof for boobs and get surgery done and continue earning or do u have to reach hof for boobs and the other surgeries before having ur first surgery ???????????????? be good if u could reach hof fo whatever surgery u get to hof first have surgery and still earn for the next one instead of waiting on one big goal and have it all done at same time if u know what i mean xxx baby
I think this change will cause many problems unless there is a waiting period between surgeries. By the time a woman reaches the hall of fame she will have many friends. As we have all read, those friends tend to disappear once she succeeds.
Except they dont’ disappear, they are off funding other women twoards new breasts.
If they could continue funding their existing friend towards her next surgery, it would appear that something like 77% of them might do so.
This would make it even harder for new women to succeed since even more of the benefactors (and their money) would be tied up in supporting established models.
THIS one made me go aweeeeee….I think this is a completely great reason why it should be aloud i’m sure there will be others less needed like me that would do a few things but if its optional for the men and they know where the money is going what they are contributing to separately or something .. hey go for it. I can just hope i can hold my own to get enough to get my boobs done..

As for me i’m so far off boobs nothing else feels real yet lol .. if i had the option . there are a few things id do nothing drastic .. some lipo would be nice.. a consultation to see if there is anything they can do for streach marks ..I know there wasnt for years thats my #2 dislike botox yes that would be nice again lol .. and perhaps a peel like stated above would be nice .. .. Not more slicing but some touching up would be lovely .. I can dream right?
Just to be clear, I am not opposed to the idea of other surgeries. I don’t see why a girl wanting a nose job for example should be turned away just because she is happy with her boobs already. But I am wondering what this might actually mean for MFI. Will men be signing up as models? I mean if a guy wants cosmetic surgery that he can not afford, surely he would be entitled to sign up right? And if he was not allowed… could it potentially lead to legal problems?

Dog Ears!
“Dog ears
With abdominal flap reconstruction, little folds of skin and fat can sometimes develop at either end of your abdominal scar. Doctors call these ‘dog ears’ because that’s what they look like. Most small dog ears settle with time, but you may eventually need to have a small operation or liposuction to get rid of them. You can have this done under local anaesthetic.”
Something like this happening would be a risk for all of us after surgery, Scar Revision Surgery I personally feel should be one of the available options if it goes ahead.
Mainly because its to do with implants, but other surgeries would be great too – I would love to see one member be able to get her very first bellybutton.
Only major thing I need is Boobs so MFI is perfect for me just the way it is however I know other girls that already have great boobs and need some work in the tummy or booty area. Like many girls I would love to have all the hair on my legs, under my arms and in another area lol.but I wont be on MFI to get this done even if they did offer it.I think other surgeries are more important and would rather other girls have their big dreams come true and have something done that will change their life*!

What about the MEN? I think it would be cool if MFI would allow Winky enlargements. Personally I dont need it nor does my bf.. but I know MANY guys that do. Girls here on MFI probably know just how many men are in need for a enlargement.. I got so many winky pictures that seeing one does nothing for me anymore lol… Anyways the guys need something to.. PLEASE ALLOW A PROCEDURE TO HELP REDUCE/RID STRETCH MARKS!! OH AND MAYBE BODY CONTOURING *SOME MAY NOT NECESSARILY NEED THE FULL TUMMY TUCK OR LIPOSUCTION BUT MAY WANT TO RID OF FAT AND CELLULITE
I think this is a great idea and would like to start raising some funds for some lipo. My surgery for my breast is way off as far as my surgery date, so I would like to have an opportunity to kill 2 birds with on stone. I would also like to know are you going to be working on updating the accounts faster with the new system that was implemented awhile ago and how will the issus with lost paper work be taken care of? I think there are issues on the site now that need to be addressed before implementing new things to come. I have to say it is a great progress that many like myself will be very happy with.I was one of the people who voted for funding more surgeries because some of us ladies have other issue that need to be taken care of besides our breast and I feel this is one of the greatest opportunities for us all. I hope all goes well and this works out for the best for everyone involved! Thanks again Guys!
Unless earning for breasts is mandatory, and someone needs to make the HOF before opening up additional surgeries (both should be required), then the site should be allowed open to men, for cosmetic procedures such as nose jobs and dental work as well.
There is only a finite pool of money here. It is going to make getting implants tougher, and other surgeries damn near impossible. Add to that 90% of the women in the HOF (those who voted for, and those “indifferent”) who are still on the site, who will come back and eat up more of that money pool (hey, since it was a “unanimous decision”, don’t think there won’t be more competition). When the blogs start to fill up with overweight women complaining they are unable to compete for their liposuction surgery because all of the Barbie dolls are hogging the attention at the money pool in their bikinis, benefactors are going to start leaving, draining the pool of even more money.
And this is in tougher economic times. The site has gone from putting over 1 woman a day into the HOF, and now, 18 days into the month, only 11 have made it (and at least 2 of those are women who came out to earn more money for whatever reason). So we’ve gone from about 1.1 a day, to 0.5 a day. Hmmmm…
I’m glad to have been able to vote on this. MFI means so much to me and these new changes may well be able to make another of my dreams come true.
On a separate note re stretch marks..There is a new procedure over here in the UK.. Using injections to each area..it’s cheaper (approx £400 for 5 hours..@1hr a time) is more successful at actually getting rid of them and is near painless..with very little if no need for being laid up for any length of time.. I will blog all the info over the weekend..just wanted other ladies to know, co’s I had thought I would be stuck with them for ever.. glad to know I can get rid of the nasty things now..:)

laser hair removal, laser scar revision, what about lasik??? no one brought this one up…, brazilian butt lift, face lifts, laser acne treatment (id totally do this one), VAGINOPLASTY (very very popular among moms for a vaginal makeover and tightening), etc
jason, jay… have yall thought about any of those? i know they are specific but they are ideas.

You bring up some very valid points/concerns.
Regarding the survey numbers. When you remove the indifferent results we still saw a hefty majority of those in favor of allowing other surgeries. Those percentages are below.
Indifferent
Models = 7%
Donors = 13%
We are definitely not rolling this out before more pressing issues are tackled. Although, we did want to share the results as many people in the community had asked.
As for flooding the site with returning HOFers. I definitely see your concern. We want to keep giving new women a good chance to succeed here. But there is also some significant upside. Firstly, it brings back HOFers and reunites them with old friends. A big positive!
Secondly, in just about every poll we’ve given to the community regarding a policy change, we’ve seen them vote for selections with the least restrictions. We live in a capitalist society and the members (especially donors) have usually voted for minimal restrictions on the MFI economy. HOFers already have proven to be successful here, they know the rules, and they know the benes. But again, you guys have the choice of who to donate to, and which surgery you would like to fund.
As for the number of women in the HOF this month. Its a poor measurement of the current health of MFI. Most of the funds that put the girls in to the HOF were raised months or even years before. It can also depend on how many girls are currently on the site, how high their goal amounts are, what country they reside in, etc. There are dozens of factors that come into play and its really hard to judge.
I can tell you that MFI has been hurt by the economy. But so has just about every other business. All we can do it keep trying to improve the site. And they main way we’re doing that is opening a dialog with you (and the rest of our customers) on how to better the community. So please continue to voice your opinions, questions/concerns.
Random thoughts after reading the comments.
First, i voted for other surgeries but also belong to the indifferent or even maybe against. I don’t know how MFI handled my comments i left to them in my answers. No, i am not against that women raise for other surgeries than breast implants, but i maybe wont support every kind of surgery.
First, i believe, as Jim says, the competition will get harder. It will pull more different women to the site who wants other surgeries than breast implants. Maybe this pull different kind of men to the site, but honestly i doubt it. When i first read the results, i thought that 90% of the women voted for more competition. But maybe i all wrong about that. We will see.
For those who have been here long enough, know that MFI allowed other surgeries years ago. None of those women who came here for other surgeries than breast implants did succeed, even when the economy was good. The community was smaller then, so maybe this has changed, but as Jay has said in one interview: “It seems that men and women can agree on breast.” So has it shown historically on MFI, maybe that will change when this gets implemented. And maybe it is so that donors and women doesn’t agree so much on breasts anymore, more likely on pictures and videos of all sorts and chat interaction and similar.

Constantly are ladies leaving or quitting their journey. these money gets refunded. If you do an observation on when someone who has earned existential towards her goal leaves/quits, you will see how fast some other women are moving on the earning ladder. My first donation here took over 1 year to get in HOF and was transfered though 3 different women. i think i wrote an article about that in the news 2 years ago.
Even if the amount of HOFers isn’t an exact measurement, i don’t think it is a poor measurement for what we can see. Between HOF #397 (on Apr 8th, 2009) and #397 (on Apr 8th, 2009) it is almost 10 days between them. It was a long long time since it was such a gap between 2 HOFers. So for me as benefactor and what i can see this is not a poor measurement. But of course such as the amount of ladies on the site has to do it too. For a long time the amount has been around 2,500 ladies on the site constantly and since last massive join up and MFi being in the TV it is now for the past month on 3,300+ ladies. But it is decreasing, just some week ago it was over 3,400 ladies. Probably it will get easier for the ladies when it fall back down to under 3,000 ladies.
Now with new surgeries being soon implemented to earn, i believe the amount of ladies will be constantly higher than 2,500.
That old HOFers will return and earn for other surgeries is not always positive for everyone. i have got to hear from some new ladies who feel intimidated when a lot HOFers are earning. That can of course be that they earn for second time for breast implants, but i have heard also intimidation about a lot of returning HoFers blogging and similar.
I will stop there with some of my thoughts i might get back with more.
