As many of you know we conducted a survey recently asking for the communities opinion on allowing the funding of other surgeries besides breast augmentations/lifts. The survey went out to approximately 2,000 of our most senior members (men and women) Thank you to the nearly 800 people who gave their input! We really appreciate you helping us shape the future of MFI.

The survey results showed a unanimous support for allowing other surgeries to be funded. What order they are funded, or which surgeries will be allowed are still under consideration. But in the meantime, we wanted to share the information that the ability to fund other surgeries (in some form) is coming soon!

1. How do you react to the news that MyFreeImplants is considering allowing the funding of multiple surgeries through its website?

Models
90% think this would be a good policy change or are indifferent
10% think the site should stick with just breast augmentations

Donors
77% think this would be a good policy change or are indifferent
*23% think the site should stick with just breast augmentations

*For the 23% of donors who don’t want to contribute to other surgeries, we have a simple solution. You can either donate only to those funding breast augmentations, or if you want to help a girl who wants multiple surgeries, you will be able to earmark your donations to contribute only to the breast augmentation.

An interesting top 20 might be the most earned in the last 1-7 days (not sure what interval I’d use).

I think both the increase in the number of women and the decrease in benefactors has contributed to the slowing of the hall of fame.

I would imagine that no longer being the only game in town has some effect as well, even if the other game is considerable more expensive (taking 35% of donations).

The new girls list may also cause a slow down. New girls are most likely to be fooled by predators. They are most likely to quit after receiving a few donations.

I understand the motives for this were probably good, but unfortunately there are always the unscrupulous among us. They will find these new girls, convince them they must send nude pictures to get anywhere, donate a few bucks to get those nudes and then repeat the cycle with their returned donation when the girl becomes disillusioned and leaves.

    Jay,

Thanks for sharing the numbers. The middling is not as high as I expected. I am in agreement about capitalism, which makes me curious if how if the donor numbers were weighted on how much a donor contributes fiscally to the site, how the balance would tip. Simply, a donor who contributes less than $20 monthly is weighted less than a donor who contributed $1000 a month.

I know for the donors, one of the questions posed was the guidelines for taking advantage of these new surgeries. The success of this site is from implants. As CCR noted, you allowed earnings for other surgeries at one time, and I can only think of one model who successfully took advantage of this. I feel breast augmentation should be a gateway surgery, and when a model successfully earns this, they wait the 30-days for paperwork, MFI reviews the account, and once approved, then the model can start earning for subsequent, non-augmentation plastic surgeries. This would close a loophole that would allow someone like me (a male) to come here to earn money for LASIK, braces, or veneers, calf implants (yes, Johnny Drama).

As for least restrictions, I believe the community voted “unanimously” for the middle road to make models wait for a year to come back for second augmentations.

For donors, the success of the site is based on measurements we can see. For me, I look at movement on the CTG list, and additions to the HOF. HOF entry is slowing, and the CTG list seems quite stagnant.

Finally “it brings back HOFers and reunites them with old friends”: those HOFers who truly want to stay engaged, do. Be it through MFI, or once their agreement is complete, other means and other social communities. For models who magically re-appear because of this change, their “old friends” will see through this. MFI can’t successfully enforce post-op pictures in the agreement, let alone the many models whose empty promises of post-op pic sets go unfulfilled. So this brings us all more static in blogs of “where are my friends.”

Jim makes a very valid here. I voted on the new surgeries to be allowed but I think that making a model wait is fair! We had our chance of getting our surgery and a time limit would be wise I think. I also think that the guys will see through the HOF models who practically abandoned the site and when they come back for “other” surgeries that their “friends” will see right through them. I do think a bit of a wait for other surgeries would be fair to everyone and the girls earning now.

I’ve waited to comment on this topic because I wanted to see how others feel. I won’t lie to you..the thought of lipo or a tummy tuck is rather attractive..because that part of my body makes me very self conscious. But, if I could never have it done would I be upset? Probably not…I would probably just exercise myself silly and get as close to it as possible..even when I was a size 4 it wasn’t that great. So, a Mommy Makeover wouldn’t hurt my feelings lol

But, I want to see how it all rolls out and what effect it will have on this site. Maybe it will attract a different sort of person who wants to come and help…or maybe it will slow down people making it to HOF. I’m not sure….I hope either way that it will work out.

Either way it goes…the Hubby tells me he loves me just the way I am…I’m a lucky woman :)

One thing that has not taken to consideration wordy is that of 2,000 nearly 800 did answer the survey. it is 40% that has answered. Why the other 60% didn’t answer is we can only speculate in.

Well I love the idea. i have to add, I have been e-mailing the J’s about adding new things to the site before this came around, so I am super happy. I have had my breast implants, and I am now ready to earn for another procedure (rhinoplasty) is the only thing I would like to change now. But I did say that I believe girls should have to earn and have boobs done first….after all it is still a boobie site…..and it would make it easier to get donations, with those big bouncy boobie pics to offer!!!

CCR Says: April 19, 2009 at 3:11 pm

yes i know. i said nearly 800 ANSWERED that means 1200 didnt. i dont think i did any wrong in that calculation though. To just copy it and emphasize it:

One thing that has not taken to consideration wordy is that of 2,000 nearly 800 did answer the survey. it is 40% that has answered. Why the other 60% didn’t answer is we can only speculate in.

And it gets interesting if consider that it was said that the members were hand picked by the management. So the management did somehow count that these 2000 would answer, yet 1200 declined to answer or 60% declined to answer from being hand picked by the management.

Has anyone else noticed that some HOF’ers that we havent heard from in months are mysteriously coming around again at this new offer of surgery?

Jay: MyFreeImplants Says: April 19, 2009 at 11:12 pm

    Hi Chris,

Management didn’t hand pick anyone. We picked 2,000 of the most senior members period. The main reason people don’t complete surveys is because they require effort. For instance, I am offered surveys all the time that I decline because I just don’t have the time.

We purposely sent the survey to 2,000 members because we knew most people would not complete it. We hoped for a 25% response rate (not uncommon for surveys). The fact that we got 40% to respond was quite a pleasant surprise. And most importantly, it provided even more insight as to what the community wants.

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to voice their opinions!

CCR Says: April 19, 2009 at 11:58 pm

Ok the phrase “hand picked” was wrong, but in way they were as they were not randomly picked, it was senior members. yes i know it is hard to get answers on surveys. But in survey one should consider the fall out and what it can mean for what the survey is for. Because it is easy to put the 60% who didn’t answer to the group of indifferent.

I have been around from the first time I made HOF and it sucks to know that once I made HOF alot of the benefactors abandonded me. What about for us ladies who have put time and effort into making friends on here besides making our goals. It goes both ways ya know. I do agree that if someone wants another surgery.. they will need to have breast implants first then continue on for other surgeries and like myself I had to come back for a revision/Capsular Contracture (which is a medical issue)(which I can provide proof) That I need to have another surgery done to release the pain I am in. I wonder how many other ladies who came back had their proof and willing to hand it in??? If the J’s are going to open this option to us ladies then I feel current issues that are on this site now should be addressed first!

Victoria Says: April 22, 2009 at 7:14 am

Great! Im very excited about this!! I think that you shouldnt have to get boobs first, then other surgeries. Alot of woman are dissatisfied with other parts of their body and not their breasts, so why not give them a chance to feel happy and confident as well:) As for the HOF members, i agree that they should maybe wait sometime before they start their new goals. They will need some time to recover from their surgery anyway, so i dont think it would be a big deal.

I was here when it was all kinds of surgeries, and I’m still working to get my breast .and i was trying to get a tummy tuck when it was the old way. and not one person donated well maybe $3.00 dollars so i stopped for a lil bit,i come back and it was all changed just for breast, and then i stared getting help from men. so i hope over time it’s changed.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one… based on the success of other sites that offer money towards “whatever” I am thinking its time for MFI to evolve around the times and expand the earning potential. I think offering things other than breast implants will mean the return of previous MFI HOFers and odds are MORE female members, hopefully more guys will come as well. This will also probably kill the competition since MFI is FAR larger than any other site of its kind :) So… wohooo.. i’ll be waiting! Hopefully a change in the VERY near future :) YAY!

Jayda Says: April 22, 2009 at 10:00 am

I think as an older HOFer that this is a great idea and I would def go for other surgeries!

Women have all kinds of issues that they would like to improve upon. I know I have several and for the confidence gained that getting these procedures would bolster…I think it is well worth it..

plus it would give us the chance to make more friends here and/or get reaquainted with old friends who moved on to help newer girls.

I find it hard to differentiate between sites that offer women the chance to earn money for anything and sites like camwhores.com
On top of that, the 35% they might take out of each donation seems excessive…

“The survey went out to approximately 2,000 of our most senior members (men and women)…”

Well, I’ve been on here since late 2007. I’m not sure if that gives me any “seniority” or not, but I DON’T believe I was ever invited to take this survey. To give you a chronological comparison of scale, that was back when there were only around 50 or so ladies in the HOF; today there are what, close to 500? So if the site has apparently grown exponentially since that time, it is utterly daunting, as a benefactor at least, to consider the depth of competition on here…up to 2000 more “senior” (than me) benefactors, or a fraction thereof, plus all of the ADDITIONAL new benefactors that have joined since that time…bottom line this is great news for the ladies, i.e. THOUSANDS of benefactors! Yeaaayhhh!!

I will note it takes the candor of a news announcement on part of the site owners to really put the thousands of members/benefactors number in perspective here, for me at least. I’ve always wondered how many other ‘benes’ are out there competing for the same woman’s time here; I suppose I now have a better appreciation of the several pasted, stealth, spam message blasts I receive on a daily basis here.

following on from my last short post!

there is apprehension here, 23 % and 10 % of men and women respectively against, is not unanimous- ok it is a substantial majority, but NOT unanimous for changes. and the only men who have contributed to this thread have been subdued and hardly keen as mustard.

there is also the apprehension that Ed has been alluding too- there is a game being played elsewhere, camwhores has been mentionned, but not the site he’s alluding too. but the implication is clear- this is a step down the rocky road of this becoming a begging site just like them.

another theme that has been raised, is that some girls leave this site very soon after a few donations, after being pursued by “predators”, again apprehension. What is really being said is that “the wrong sort of women are pursuing this site to HOF, and that such changes will make those matters worse”. again there is much to think about in that statement

developing on from both of these points, the threat of a cabal of women with oodles of material, piffing each other, can only be a cause for apprehension

i am just trying to sum up some of the apprehension here. looking at the contributions here, by and large the women have said “good show- count me in” and the men have either said “wooooaaaa step on the breaks ” or ” we can do this if we have to”- hardly unanimous endorsement

I am curious. If it will be a list of possibility’s OR something like set your goal amount. and send in a request of exactly WHAT it is you want done to see if it is approved. That way it would be more open but still controlled. Also will People be notified of this HUGE change that were on here and previously left? Just a thought. :)

I was “tickled pink” when I got that survey, even though it may not pan out the way I hoped. I still need to thank my guys for the new girls with new pics, and I WILL do that…I’m just forgetful and slow. I also wanted to let them fill out and look great (which they definitely do now). So back to the topic, PLEASE allow cosmetic dentistry!! What about Lasik surgery (not the most cosmetic of surgeries but I hate contacts and glasses as well)?? LOL. I seriously need the dental side though, my baby tooth hung on until just a week ago and now I have this gap on the left side of my smile. It’s not the front four teeth, but still close to the front to notice if I angle the right way. I also have an uneven smile…hate that so much!!! >:-( Ok, so maybe we are all too hard on ourselves…but hey, we’re human! Love you guys no matter what!
