Kendra was a woman I met shortly before she reached the Hall of Fame. We slowly became friends and has been an invaluable resource in helping me better inform women what to expect before and after their surgeries. Kendra was a natural choice to answer these questions. She joined MFI on January 6th, 2008 , reached her goal on March 26th, 2008 and had her surgery on May 28, 2008

1. How did it feel to get your life back from MFI after you made it to the Hall of Fame?
It’s nice to have my life back (as you put it), however, I do kind of miss the regular interaction with my MFI friends.

2. Did you experience a post HoF letdown when the excitement of chasing your goal was no longer there?
Yes, I did a bit. All of a sudden about 75% of the guys just disappeared.

3. What was one of the first things you resumed doing that you stopped while your life was consumed with MFI?
Spending more time with my husband.

4. Was there a point in time during your journey that you wanted to quit? If so, why and why did you stay?
Absolutely. There were times before I made the $1,000 mark that were really slow, and very discouraging. I stayed because I had a lot of encouragement from some of my MFI friends and because I figured “Well, even if it takes two year, that’s better than never reaching goal.”

5. How did your surgery go? Did you have any complications with the surgery itself?
My surgery went very well. Absolutely ZERO complications. I had it done on a Wednesday (May 28th), and was ready to get out of the house by Saturday. Although I got tired very quickly on that first day out.

6. Are you experiencing any numbness?
Nope, not now.

7. Are you happy with the results so far?
Absolutely!

8. Which surgical incision method did you use and why did you chose that method? (i.e. areola, armpit, underneath the breast, through the navel or another type)
I chose the areola incision due to the fact that I wanted the scar to blend well, and the incision point is so close to the implant destination (hopefully, minimizing potential for complications.)

9. Which type and size of implants did you select and why did you chose them?
I selected the Memory Gel moderate profile; size 400cc because it appealed to me most. I do not like the idea of saline due to the fact that a puncture will cause it to immediately disappear and flatten.

10. What was the first thing you remembered once you woke up from the surgery?
That I had just come out from having breast augmentation surgery and that I might should be scared as to how it went.

11. How long was it before you started feeling better after the surgery?
Later that same evening (maybe 8:00 p.m.)

12. How long did it take you to resume normal activities such as working?
I was back at work on Monday, but moving slowly and not overdoing it.

13. How long was it before you were comfortable showing off your new breasts?
1 Week!!! Hahahahaha. I was very anxious to so the progression from recently having undergone surgery to how they would look as time healed them. I feel it’s important that the guys and girls on this website understand that it does not happen overnight and they sometimes look VERY UNATTRACTIVE during the transition.

14. If you have a significant other, how does that person feel about your new and improved breasts?
Aside from me, they are his new best friend ;-)

15. How did your family and friends react the first time they saw you post-op (after you healed)?
I did not tell my family ahead of time, so they looked at me somewhat suspect and trying to figure out what was different about me. The friends who knew ahead of time asked “Do you mind if I look at your chest?”

16. How did your co-workers react to your new chest?
As though I had never had it done. I am in a very professional environment and I do not think any of them would ask me about it point blank. However, one close friend told me there was quite a bit of discussion behind my back. LOL

17. Have you noticed any more attention paid to you by strangers such as receiving better customer service now than before the surgery?
Oh, absolutely!!! I cannot believe how much customer service has improved. I quite honestly thought it was a load of crap when I would hear people say that (until I experienced it first hand). It’s true whether the service is being provided by a man or a woman. It is surprising that straight women are affected by nice breasts too.

18. Looking back on the whole process and your results, would you have changed anything you did while on MFI?
Yes, I would have gotten on MFI much sooner. As for my activities while on MFI, I stayed true to myself and therefore have no regrets.

19. Looking back, would you have liked something on MFI to have been different, something that might have made the entire experience easier?
Yes, for the new women to be able to interact with the Hall of Famers in order to gather some helpful insight.

20. Do you have any advice you would want the other women to know before their own surgeries?
Yes, understand the size options before you decide on your size. By that I mean, don’t assume you want a size “D” until you fully understand what a “Size D” really looks like. Also, I firmly believe the choice of surgeon is absolutely the most important part of the process. Do not sell yourself short and take that decision lightly.

    Hello Ladies,

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. Krisa, I was a small B before the 400cc’s and I’m not a 36D or 34DD depending on the bra.

Walter, thank you again for the interview. I enjoyed having the opportunity to talk about my experience and I hope it is of help to some of the women of MFI. I think it would be awesome if the J’s were to allow some non HOF women to interview some of the HOF women.

    Sincerely, Kendra
