A hoary little sketch from Comedy Central’s The Man Show.

I sure wouldn’t want to be on the wrong end of that well-whacked gavel:

You know, I can understand the comedic value of a disco-ball spontaneously descending from the courtroom ceiling. That’s always good for a laugh or two. But why the devil they decided to throw-in those two foreigner-types is something of a head-scratcher for me.

I guess they thought the words ‘pita-bread’ would be a total thigh-slapper if they came-out of a thinly-accented mouth. But maybe I’m missing some brilliant, subtle nuance.

I mean, it is The Man Show, for God’s sake. The humor was sophisticated on so many levels…

…and speaking of that, didn’t one or more of the J’s meet Adam Carolla once?

Dude, that is suh-weet.

The most famous person I’ve ever met?

Prince.

Well… I didn’t exactly meet him, per se.

Just sort of caught a glimpse of him at a nightclub in Minneapolis.

The curtain to the VIP lounge got pulled-open for a split-second.

Hm. At least, it might have been Prince.

I was kinda wasted that night, so I’m hazy on the whole thing.

I had, like, a ton of limoncello that night.

And, um… some local moonshine made out of barley and pine-needles.

Yanno I might not have even been in Minneapolis, come to think of it…

…or even in a nightclub…

…man that is wierd. Where the hell was I that night?

It’s just my opinion, obviously, but this posting is funnier than The Man Show ever was…. I don’t think I ever laughed at anything I saw in my admittedly limited viewing of TMS. Except *maybe* the Benny Hill pastiche I saw them do… Even that was more for the sake of Benny Hill nostalgia than anything to do with the Man Show…

Okay, I’m done now. Back to your regularly scheduled MFI…

(Except, now I have half a mind to write a blog contrasting TMS and BH…)
