This year has been absolutely amazing so far! Even after two years of running this website it still puts a smile on my face each time I log in to the site to see someone else inching closer to reaching their goal. So this holiday season we’re happy to introduce a little something to help give back to all those that have brought us this far. The MyFreeImplants Affiliate Program. This works very similar to the ladies Top 20 Promoters list, but this version is for the benefactors. You all now have your own referral link as well, just like the ladies. But since you all don’t need/want implants, we’re instead giving you message credits as a reward for signing up new members that also contribute to the ladies of MFI.
The payout is similar to when you earn free message credits for donations over $20.00 with a few slight changes.
- The message credits you earn from the affiliate program will be of the paid credit variety.
- The reward credits are calculated based on any and all purchases (credits, subscriptions & donations)
- The credits are based on the total aggregate value for the prior calculated month, so even $5 contributions will count towards your payout.
The one caveat is that the credits will be paid out on the first of the month, and will only be paid out on transactions that have matured past their 60-day settlement period. So while you won’t start to see the benefits of the affiliate program until at least March 1st, you can at least start accumulating your referrals now. And with the holiday gift giving season upon us, it’s the perfect time to recruit!
You will find a new “Earn Free Credits” link under your message credits balance on your profile page. That link will take you to a new page the explains the Affiliate Program in detail. In addition there are some tools to help you spread the word with HTML code and some banners ads as well. So go grab your code and post it on some of your other favorite websites that guys like you hang out at! 
Sometime next month we’ll also create an affiliate reporting tool which will allow you to anonymously track your referrals so that you can see just how well you are doing. Just to be clear: we ARE currently tracking all referrals at this point, there is just no reporting tool yet, but rest assured you will receive credit for referrals.

UPDATE: Interesting to note that the last free message credits feature was added to the site at just about this same time last year!
Another IMPORTANT update: If anyone is found to be spamming your referral link (this goes for both guys and girls) out to massive amounts of people via some automated means, your account will be deleted. Spammers are evil. Don’t be evil.

Does my referral bonus last indefinitely? If someone signs up for the site using my link and remains a member for two years would I still be accruing bonus credits that whole time?
Yup. There is no time limit.

Well, well. Thank you. I’ve been after you to get this done for a while. Thanks! But, I have a couple questions. All the links point to the home page, which is OK, but can I link to any of the other public pages, like the “Meet the Girls” or the “Before and After”, and still get credit for that new member sign-up? If so, how should I construct the link? Now you have it /members/123445. Shouldn’t it work with parameters like ?BENEID=12345&AFF=true, or something link that. I’m feeling a little referral constrained here. Some of those other pages I think are a little more motivational than the home page, and may be a little more appropriate for different sites.
If some prospect comes to the site from a link or banner I put out there, how long will I be able to get credit for that referral, assuming the visitor doesn’t sign up right away? After all, the person might come back later and if there isn’t some cookie set, then I don’t get any credit. Or, if there is a cookie set? If so, does it expire?
This will add some more fun to being a member to the site. Version 2.0, should let us earn a credit for a favorite model as well as benefiting us donors.

Good feedback Coach! I just updated the script to accommodate your requests. I’ve updated the Affiliate Program documentation as well. Here is the update:
By default this link will send people to the homepage of the site after setting a referral cookie on the visitors computer. For more advanced usage, you can optionally append your link with a 3rd parameter. This 3rd parameter will be the initial page that people see after clicking on your link. By adding this third parameter you can have them be directed to any other publicly available (i.e. page that does not require logging in) page on the site. So for example, to send people to the How It Works page instead, you would use something like this:
http://MyFreeImplants.com/members/1/how_it_works.asp
Or you could even link to a particular blog post or testimonial with something like this:
http://MyFreeImplants.com/members/1/blog.asp?MOID=19775&BID=74945
All you have to do is to take your base link and append the destination page to the end of it.
FYI: The cookie will last for 1 year. But be aware that it could potentially be overwritten by them clicking on someone elses referral link.
