If you are one of the (now 57!) success stories to have entered the coveted Hooterville by reaching your goal, you now have a new feature available to you. Normally once you reach your goal, everyone that has contributed to your goal by means of a donation will get added to a ‘safe-senders’ list (for lack of a better word). Once on this list those benefactors can send you messages for free. This worked just fine, except for the few edge cases where some benefactors contributed to your end goal, but did so by ONLY sending messages. In some cases it was a pretty significant number of messages too. Up until now those generous souls were S.O.L. on the freebie messages. Until now…
Ladies, now when you check your messages report, you will have the option to add additional benefactors to your safe-senders list. You can only add currently active members, and you can only add them if you are in the Hall Of Fame. You can remove them too if needed for some reason. You cannot however remove any benefactors that were automatically added via donations.
Just one more way to allow the friendships to continue post-success. Of course live-chat is still an available option as a means to freely communicate, but sometimes that’s not always a viable option due to conflicting schedules.
Next up is just a little calculator widget on the donations page. With the recent addition of the Top 20 Closest To Goal list, a lot of folks like being in the position to be “the one to put you over.” This calculator will allow you to enter any desired amount you want her to receive, and it will figure out for you the total donation amount (post service fees). So if she needs $147.89 left until reaching her goal, just click the link to calculate, enter that amount in the top box, and it will automatically fill in the total required donation amount in order for her to receive that amount.
If anyone is curious, the calculation looks like this:
ACTUAL_AMOUNT = (DESIRED_AMOUNT / (1 – 0.15))
Pretty simple on paper, but not the easiest calculation to do in your head while in the midst of all the sexiness of the ladies of MFI. Sometimes they can be quite the distraction!
