Scientists at the University of Bolton are hard at work on a smart bra which will help them detect cancer and evaluate the efficacy of cancer treatments. The bra uses a microwave antennae system to monitor subtle changes in the temperature of breast tissue. According to inventor Professor Elias Siores the bra should be available within two years and could provide an audible or visible warning or some combination of the two.
